Where does your money go? Your donations support The Third Chapter Project, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) non-profit.
We live in a world of inequality. What changes economic disparity and fosters a strong society is an educated population. To put our project into context, you need to look at the community we are serving. Six percent of eligible aged Africans are enrolled in post-secondary education compared to 70% in developed nations. That number has doubled since 2000 but funding still lags far behind (Economist, August 10 2019). In the United States alone, we spend $135.5 billion annually on higher education. Sub Saharan Africa is made up of 46 countries and collectively the number is $5 billion, which represents almost 7% (Grand View Research, 2018).
Your money supports our goal of providing access to high-quality humanities and social science content to under-served communities in Africa.
How we will accomplish this goal?
- We act as a financial bridge between universities without resources and publishers around the world.
- We source digital high-quality content in the humanities and social sciences with a secondary focus on education
- We analyze the problems and find solutions.
- Our team is made up of experienced non-profit publishers and humanities scholars. Collectively we have over 150 years of experience.
Your donation will go directly to supporting education in Africa. You can be part of the mission! Even the smallest amount helps! Donate below.
