Providing Global Access to Scholarly Resources
The Third Chapter Project, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) grant-funded non-profit with the goal of providing access to high quality humanities and social science content to under-served communities, initially focusing on Africa.
- Third Chapter’s mission is to act as a bridge between universities without resources and publishers who need to receive a fair value for their product.
- The Third Chapter team have extensive experience in the global distribution of content curated by the member societies of the American Council of Learned Societies, hosted in the ACLS Humanities E-Book subscription collection, sold to university libraries in 30 countries.
- We will capitalize on our success in library sales, digital content distribution and access to high academic books and monographs to bridge the digital divide for students who otherwise would not have access to these materials.
